Extreme Storm Lake Winter Days is going to be held on February 5th and 6th, 2010. It is an event open to anyone who would like to attend, and all of the events are free to participants (except the Citizen’s First National Bank Ice Fishing Tournament). Children’s Activities Registration Form- On Saturday from 10:00am-3:00pm in the Sunrise Pointe Club House (1528 East Lakeshore Dr, Storm Lake). Kids can take part in Winter Crafts, warming up with Hot Chocolate, work in the Snow Flake Factory, Color, create a Monkey Door Hanger, a Homemade Bird Feeder, a Paper Plate Snowman, go Bowling, play Musical Chairs, and more!

Brrr, It’s Cold Out Here Challenge Rules and Registration Form- On Saturday at 11:00am Outside the Sunrise Pointe Club House (1528 East Lakeshore Dr). This challenge is open to those who are 18 and older. The object of the challenge is to sit on a block of ice in shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops for as long as you can. If the person gets off the block of ice, they will be disqualified. The participant who sits on the block the longest will win. Award Ceremony will be held in the Sunrise Pointe Club House at 2:30pm. First place will receive $100, second wins $50, and third place wins $25.

Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest Rules and Registration Form- On Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm Along the shore just east of King's Pointe. Create your best or most unique snowman or snow sculpture for this contest! Be as creative or original as you like! We've always wanted to see an Elvis Snowman! Some props will be provided, or you can bring your own props and building tools if you so choose. There will be a snowsters and adult category. The snowsters category will win fun prizes for the first three places, and the adult category will win cash prizes. First place will receive $50, second $30, and third place receives $25. The Award Ceremony will take place in the Sunrise Pointe Club House at 2:30pm.

Homemade Push/Pull Sled Contest - On Saturday at 1:00pm along the shore west of the Sunrise Park Campgrounds. Participants must bring a homemade sled to the contest arena. The participant and a single partner will travel through an obstacle course; one team member must sit on the sled the entire way through the obstacle course. Whichever team makes it through the course quickest will win. There will be two categories, the snowsters and the adults. The snowsters category will win fun prizes for the first three places, and the adult category will win cash prizes. First place will receive $50, second $30, and third place receives $25. The Award Ceremony will take place in the Sunrise Pointe Club House at 2:30pm.

Citizen’s First National Bank Ice Fishing Tournament

Disc Golf Tournament Rules and Registration Form- On Saturday from 10:00am-3:00pm located at the Storm Lake-Lakeside Disc Golf Course (Located on the south side of the Sunrise Park Campground). This is a 9-hole tournament. You may play in teams, but you will keep your scores individually; therefore, each team member must register. The Award Ceremony will take place in the Sunrise Pointe Club House at 3:30pm.

Cross Country Skiing – You will be able to register and sign up for cross country skiing on February 6th at the Sunrise Park Campground from 10am-3pm

Snowmobile Poker Run Registration Form – More information coming soon!

Extreme Bike Ride Registration Form- On Saturday at 1:00pm - The Extreme Bike Ride route will begin behind King's Pointe, you will ride to Frank Star Park, turn around, and the bike ride will then end back at King's Pointe (approximately 8 miles). There will be a support vehicle provided by Lakeshore Cyclery. Participants should meet at Lakeshore Cyclery before the start of the ride at King's Pointe. Lakeshore Cyclery is located at 1523 East Lakeshore Drive.

Don’t forget the hot chocolate bar in King’s Pointe from 1:00-6:00pm

Visit King's Pointe Waterpark all weekend long (standard entry fees apply)
